Redsoul Records presents:
the 2nd annual D.R.M.M. fundraiser
thoughts:
it’s that time again. the Redsoul annual fundraiser for the homeless and those in need. last year I had an overwhelmingly positive experience giving to the city of detroit. the electronic community DONATED LOTS of items for the people of Detroit in desperate need.
year after year, while it seems people take from city of detroit, I will continue to do my part and give to this wonderful city. last year while dropping off bags filled with clothing, gloves, coats, hats, ect… it was such a amazing feeling to be greeted outside, the look in someone’s eyes, as they said, with near tears in their eyes, “bless your heart” “thank you” / “thank you” – made me smile from the inside and compelled me to do things once again this year.
I quickly came to the truthful conclusion that their only source of proper winter clothing was the donations raised from our electronic community. just the synergy of cause & purpose. where friends gather together for laughs and helping the needy which does have a healing effect afterward is an unmistakable feeling.
in such a time of crisis, once again, I can’t help but think of the people who are even more less fortunate. as our world turns: I instinctively feel, we as a culture, our only as strong as our weakest link. in order to properly evolve as one, I believe we need to think about our own contributions, and what we can each do as individuals to help others rise above. as in the movie, “ziegest addendum” in my opinion, at the end they painted a picture where everyone’s standard of living is altered by the idea and concept that we are: only as strong as our weakest link. I truly feel we can make this happen, and we (can) see this in our lifetimes. if you’re in the area and feel compelled just to come by to drop off something you wish to donate – please feel free to do so.
please help make a difference: one moment and life at a time.
