After losing my mother last year, losing my girlfriend after 18 months, losing my main computer after spending 1000 & 1000s of hours hand-piecing 100’s of lost tracks for my live pa; gutting 2 houses, and moving after 23 years — I found myself, in such a stark & dark place, [producing music wasn’t enough for the first time in my life], which scared me for the first time in a very long time.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to live in the United States, be in Michigan, and even reside in the new home I just purchased, as it needed a lot of work. Mentally I found myself at another gigantic edge of not wanting or seeing forward.

I honestly felt that I would not want to move forward if I didn’t DJ and play records and escape.

After recording this, I went back to old school zero blue tooth — bought a cheap RCA $50 mp3 player (no commercials), and the iPhone corded headphones fit with the 1/8 jack.

Still in complete darkness, or dare I say even worse after this moment, I listened to this mix for 5 straight months.
Having something take me from morning to night and/or from Night to morning, helped me literally, in every sense of the word, move forward at one of the hardest times of my life.

I strongly felt If I didn’t share this with the world It would be a mistake, and so I finally did.

I hit record and started to play records.
