Finally, after nearly a year of waiting, I was able to get them a long-overdue podcast. Being in such a dark place after my mother passed, not feeling fulfilled after moving, and being about to move again, I was completely uncertain as to my next steps; sometimes in life you have to let it happen to you.
As much as one plans, has goals, hits targets, or feels compelled, sometime life has other plans. Finally, now, I’m in such a calm and tranquil place, as it’s now been 3 years after my mother’s passing, and I’m coming back to myself. No one ever tells you how to plan for life events, as I always planned to take care of my mother, but I never saw myself moving past that moment. I basically lived for 2 years in deep meditation, trying to push forward & cure past lifetime generational curses, as it’s said. I, more or less, lived like a monk, nearly having zero contact with the outside world, finding it difficult to even go to the grocery store.
Personally, and instinctively, I felt it was difficult to share a capsule of energy being in such deep sadness, as I had over 30-40 mixes to choose from with the past year; however, this one was the most recent, recorded on 10-1-2026. In my heart of hearts, I wanted to wait until I was in a better place spiritually & mentally before sharing something creative outward.
I wanted something with SPIRIT, something fun, & something from Detroit. I hope some of you may like it.
From my heart.

Hi, this is Janis Looping and Jimi Perdrix from GLØU-RADIØ.
Our philosophy is that of the sound system — the kind where music is felt as much as it’s heard.
We founded Glou Radio to offer a real alternative to smooth algorithms.
We’re here to shake things up and show you the best the underground has to offer.
No compromise, just good music.
